This module provides an academic introduction to the principles and foundations of International Law. It explores important areas such as Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, highlighting their role in the protection of individuals and the regulation of relations between states. The course also familiarizes students with essential legal terminology used in international legal discourse. Particular attention is given to the development of English grammar and language skills necessary for understanding and analyzing legal texts in English. By the end of the module, students will be better equipped to engage with international legal materials and discussions in an academic context.
